Diego Garcia
The Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra is very excited to introduce our new conductor and music director, Diego Garcia. Originally from Cali, Colombia, Mr. Garcia is currently on the cello faculty of the Eastman School of Music Pre-College division and Music Director of the Eastman String Fellowship Orchestra. Karen Lucas wins Arts Excellence Award
Karen Lucas, the FLSO's principal trumpet and vice president, received the 2007 Arts Excellence Award from FLAGS at their 11th Annual Awards Luncheon. Karen is an ardent volunteer and advocate in the local arts and cultural community, and also serves as Director of Elementary Bands for the Geneva City School District and Music Director for Seneca Falls Community Band.
