Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra - a Community Orchestra in the Finger Lakes region of New York State

Student Concerto Competition

The FLSO Young Artist Competition is an annual event, open to students who reside in the Finger Lakes Region. The competition aims to provide gifted, young musicians an opportunity to present their work for a panel of judges so they may be encouraged to aspire to the highest levels of performing excellence through written feedback. The grand prize is a cash award and a solo appearance with the FLSO. Honorable Mention certificates are also awarded to deserving students.

The FLSO is proud to announce this year's winners of The FLSO Young Artist Competition:

Violinist Andrew Guo from Brighton, NY, will perform the first movement of Saint-Saens’ Concerto no. 3 in B Minor. Guo will be featured on the FLSO's Spring Concert on Sunday April 29 at 3:00 at the United Presbyterian Baptist Church in Canandaigua. The concert is open to the public. Tickets will be available at the door.
